Via negativia, a strategy for fixing fragile systems according to Nassim Taleb, would entail more exclusion criteria, raising thresholds, or removing events-as-causes that "happen to people" (e.g. there are more events than people on earth. So why would they add events-as-criteria if you want higher specificity??). If you want more specificity then you need to focus on the disordered nature of the agent (the causer) itself creating the descriptors (events) in the first place. I'm afraid with everyone using AI it is too late: by their reliance on descriptors and LLM's, the DSM's outputs will merely become a body-without-organs (e.g., see Deleuze). A body without organs would mean the DSM contains mental disorders than people on earth.
